MADAGASCAR: ESCAPE 2 AFRICA: As the title suggests, this is the next in the sequence to the big hit film Madagascar. The small group of animal friends are ready to go back to the zoo in New York, which is home for them all. As oppossed to going home, thanks to those wacky Penguins again, they will wind up going to have more adventures first.
PINEAPPLE EXPRESS: Heavy pot smoker Dale Denton unfortunately has just viewed a crooked cop, and the local drug king pin, kill someone. He was spotted witnessing the murder. Knowing they've seen him, he is so shaken he throws down his joint, a rare blend namend pineapple express, and takes off. The pot is so unique, that the bad guys can track it. The game is on, the bad guys are hunting, and Dale and dealer Saul are now running for their lives.
HAMLET 2: Unsucessful actor Dana Marshz has settled into teaching the high school theater classes to apathetic students. When they lose a building at the campus, the school administation feels that the useless theater coarses will be what is dropped. With a challenge now in front of him, he hopes to save the theater classes by producing Hamlet 2, an original interpretation of the Shakespeare classic, which he creates.
GET SMART: Agent 86 is here again, and he has us right where he wants us. The evil organization (KAOS) vs the good guys (CONTROL), agents hidden in plants, and the cone of silence. It's a trip down memory lane to look back at the 1960's spy spoof series.
TROPIC THUNDER: With a collection of acting greats this film is a parody of recent war movies. To get a realistic performance from his super star cast to see the movie be a success, the seemingly bold director into the middle of nowhere, leaving them to fend for themselves. The plan is to scare them into making a war movie monster, which will be caught on hidden cameras in the area. When the director walks over a land mine and is blown apart, the spoiled actors are on their own, and they are covinced everything is just an act, but things are getting very, very real. Great cast with incredible make up for Robert Downey Jr.and Tom Cruise.
STEP BROTHERS: When two 40 year olds, who still live with their single parents, find themselves having to live in the same room because their parents have wed, big problems loom. Casting John Reilly and Will Ferrell as the key players, and this has the makings for lots of laughs. This seems like a must see for a good laugh in 2008.
FORGETTING SAHRAH MARSHALL: Following an undesired break up with Sarah, a TV sitcom actress, Peter decides to take a vacation to the Hawaiian Islands to get over his misery. Of course, when he arrives at his hotel, the first thing he sees is his ex and her new lover, who is a mega rock star. This film is a thoughtful romantic comedy.
ROLE MODELS: Danny (Paul Rudd) and Wheeler (William Scott), who sell energy drinks, are looking at jail time after destroying the company vehicle while binging. The way they can avoid being locked up is to work in community service for 150 hours. The catch is they will have to mentor troubled kids as sort of a big brother. The stage is set for some good comedy.
ZACK AND MIRI MAKE A PORNO: Rent is over due and Zack and Miri, roomies who have been friends since grade school, really need to find an answer to their money problems. What's their solution? Oh, thats easy, start making pornos. As you might expect this is a perfect enviornment for a funny film.
